The "Tensioner"
One of our key areas of expertise is in the design and development of specialized mechanisms and devices used to facilitate the conservation and display of valuable works of art. To this end, we created the linear tensioner in collaboration with George Bisacca and Michael Alan Miller of the Paintings Conservation Department of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The tensioner is a simple, economical and readily available device for applying tension to panel paintings for moderating warping forces. The device is available in a starter kit of 20 units. Each kit includes all the tools and instructions required for installation. We also sell single units. All components of the tensioner are available as spare or replacement parts. The IR Camera Rail
This is our custom-designed low friction, calibrated camera rail. It is intended for precise camera positioning during infrared imaging of paintings.
